Warranty & Liability Policy Last Updated: August 8, 2026 Defender Bikes designs and builds high-performance bicycles intended to be ridden and enjoyed. We stand behind the quality of our products and want every Defender owner to have confidence in their bike. 1. Five-Year Frame Warranty, Two-Year Wheel Warranty Defender Bikes warrants Defender-branded bicycle frames to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years (two years for wheels) from the original date of purchase, under normal and intended use. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable to a subsequent owner. If you believe your Defender frame has a defect or workmanship issue, contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Defender Bikes will evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances. For an approved warranty claim, Defender Bikes may, at its discretion, repair the affected product, replace the affected frame or part, or provide another reasonable remedy. Warranty service must be authorized by Defender Bikes before a bicycle, frame, or component is returned. 2. Defender Workmanship Defender Bikes stands behind the assembly and workmanship of bicycles built by Defender Bikes. If your bicycle arrives with an assembly problem, incorrect component, or other issue related to Defender’s workmanship, contact us promptly so that we can evaluate and correct the issue as appropriate. 3. Third-Party Components Defender bicycles may be equipped with components manufactured by third parties, including suspension, drivetrain, brakes, wheels, tires, electronics, and other equipment. Third-party components are generally covered by the warranty provided by their respective manufacturer, if applicable. Defender Bikes will make reasonable efforts to assist customers in identifying and addressing warranty issues involving components supplied as part of a Defender bicycle. Any third-party manufacturer’s warranty remains subject to that manufacturer’s own terms, conditions, exclusions, and warranty procedures. 4. What Is Not Covered Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the Defender Bikes warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from: Normal wear and tear, including wear to tires, brake pads, chains, cassettes, bearings, seals, grips, paint, finishes, and similar consumable or wear items; Crashes, impacts, accidents, abuse, neglect, or improper use; Improper assembly, adjustment, maintenance, or repair; Failure to properly maintain or inspect the bicycle; Modifications or alterations that affect the bicycle’s safety, structural integrity, or intended operation; Installation or use of incompatible components; Corrosion, environmental exposure, or damage caused by improper storage; Use of the bicycle outside its intended riding category or design limits; Commercial rental or other unusually intensive use unless specifically approved by Defender Bikes; or Cosmetic conditions that do not affect the safe operation or performance of the bicycle. 5. Warranty Claims To request warranty assistance, please contact Defender Bikes and provide: Your name and contact information; Proof of purchase or Defender order information; The bicycle model and relevant specifications; A description of the problem; and Photographs, video, or other information reasonably requested by Defender Bikes. Defender Bikes may require inspection of the bicycle, frame, or affected component before approving a warranty claim. Do not continue riding a bicycle if you believe a frame, fork, wheel, brake, handlebar, stem, or other safety-critical component may be damaged. Contact Defender Bikes or a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding the bicycle again. 6. Shipping and Labor for Warranty Service Responsibility for shipping, transportation, removal, installation, and labor associated with a warranty claim will be determined based on the nature of the claim, the product involved, and any applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Defender Bikes will communicate any anticipated customer costs before authorized warranty work is performed whenever reasonably practicable. 7. Bicycle Use and Rider Responsibility Cycling, mountain biking, gravel riding, racing, jumping, and related activities involve inherent risks. These risks can include equipment damage, falls, collisions, serious injury, and death. Riders are responsible for operating their bicycle within their abilities and the bicycle’s intended use, wearing appropriate protective equipment, inspecting their bicycle regularly, and maintaining it in safe operating condition. A warranty does not eliminate the risks inherent in cycling. 8. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Defender Bikes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use, inability to use, or failure of a product. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law. 9. Relationship to Our Return Policy Defender bicycles are built to order and may be configured specifically for an individual customer. Completed bicycles are therefore generally not eligible for ordinary returns or exchanges. A defect, manufacturing problem, incorrect component, or workmanship issue is handled under this Warranty & Liability Policy rather than as a standard return. 10. Consumer Rights This warranty provides specific warranty protections and does not limit any additional rights or remedies that a customer may have under applicable federal, state, or local law. 11. Contact Defender Bikes If you believe there is a problem with your Defender bicycle, contact us before returning the bicycle or attempting significant repairs.
