Founded by Andrew Lounsberry a lifelong engineer whose experience spans Penske Racing, McLaren Applied Technologies, and Outerlimits Powerboats, Defender brings a different perspective to bicycle design. Every frame, suspension platform, and geometry decision is guided by the same principles that define elite motorsports engineering: efficiency, precision, reliability, and performance.

We don’t build bikes to fit neatly into categories. We build bikes to excel in the real world. That’s why our XC bikes are more capable, our trail bikes are more versatile, our enduro bikes pedal better, and our gravel bikes refuse to be limited by conventional boundaries.
